We ended going out much later yesterday due to our hospital visit
-am still recovering from chuck the mullet fashion statement.
So late afternoon we headed out to downtown Disney
What a place
It’s a great boardwalk with the biggest video machine arcade on 4 floors and get this
It’s all free
It comes with the Disney ticket and has every machine you have ever seen in any arcade including donkey Kong! If you are over 40 you may know that one from Morts!
We had a fab couple of hours there before coming home and getting a takeaway.
Great
So to today – Sunday
After a bad night with both my cold and Lucy’s ear – it’s keeping her awake with the pain.
We had a rather slow start but isn’t it always the case that the places you feel least inspired to go to turn out to be the best days out.
MGM didn’t seem to have much to offer on paper – or rather website
But it is a super day. Not too busy which helped, we went to the car stunt show first then Indiana Jones stunt show
Where I got as close to date to getting a Disney crew member to loose it with me! I guess turning up with 5 mins to spare and demanding a seat wasn’t the best thing to do but when she shrugged and I told her she should work in Paris Disney as she had the Gallic shrug off to a tee! She was not over lee impressed!
I bailed on the star wars simulator and the aerosmith coaster and the tower of terror but there was still loads of stuff we all did like the movies through the ages tour – Joan would have enjoyed that! And the back lot tour.
We did stop off for dinner on the way home but have sooo had enough of eating out and are looking forward to plain home cooked food. Just got too find someone to cook it now!
Universal Island of adventure tomorrow
Off to bed to get some rest!
xx
